A Chinese woman shared her impressions of a recent trip to Moscow with users on WeChat. The girl told how a taxi driver helped her withdraw cash and even returned part of the fare for the trip.

According to the Chinese woman, she couldn’t link her bank card to the taxi app. With the help of an online translator, the girl explained to the driver that she couldn’t pay the fare by card and didn’t have cash with her. Then the driver took the tourist to find the nearest working bank.

The traveler noted the sensitive attitude of the Russian driver to her problem. He didn’t try to kick her out or argue, but patiently drove her around during rain and snow to different banks and even helped warm her hands. The Chinese woman mentioned that she paid the driver twice as much out of a sense of guilt, but later discovered in the hotel that he had quietly returned part of the money to her.

“It deeply touched me… I think it’s about a good, humane attitude: sympathy towards the Chinese is really deeply rooted… By the way, the driver insisted on taking a photo with me, and while we were taking the picture, he smiled happily,” the girl wrote.

She also talked about how the residents of Moscow helped her find her way and even escorted her to her desired destination. At the same time, very often, the arriving Russians clarified the way with her, which particularly surprised the tourist.

“At metro stations, where crowds of people go, many times people came up to me. Sometimes, when I myself try to figure out where to go, men and women came up to me and clarified how to get to such and such a place,” the user shared.
