Russia expects the number of Chinese tourists to quadruple by 2030 and has proposed increasing the number of flights between the two countries, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said during a meeting with Chinese tourism industry representatives in Beijing.

“We hope to see strengthened partnerships with local tour operators. On our side, we’re ready to train guides and tour leaders, including Chinese-speaking specialists. We’re open to suggestions on how to adapt routes, infrastructure and services to the expectations of your tourists,” Reshetnikov stated.

He stressed the need to increase the number of weekly flights from key Chinese cities — particularly those in the south, where flight frequency remains low — to around 200.
