Around 15,000 people in Russia suffering from diabetes and arterial hypertension have received “Personal Medical Assistants,” special medical devices that can monitor patients’ conditions and remotely transmit all necessary data to doctors. Pavel Pugachyov, Deputy Minister of Health of Russia, provided this information.

He noted that within the framework of the pilot project, more than 14,800 patients with diabetes and arterial hypertension were put under remote observation in 2022-2023. This is almost twice as many as originally planned.

Pugachyov also emphasized that by the end of March 2024, an assessment of the effectiveness of remote monitoring would be conducted, and from 2025, a decision would be made to expand the pilot project to cover 25,200 patients.
