600 New Aircraft by 2030
The Russian aviation industry has ambitious plans for the future, with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) aiming to produce over 600 aircraft for Russia’s aviation fleet by 2030. The range of aircraft will include models from all classes that are in demand in the country, spanning from the long-haul Il-96-300 to the regional Il-114-300. The model MC-21-310 will play a particularly important role in medium-haul flights.
Currently, 18 such aircraft are in various stages of readiness, with the Sukhoi Superjets actively utilized by Russian carriers.
Recently, the Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute completed testing on the model of the short-haul aircraft SJ-100 to study its behavior during takeoff and landing. Experiments were conducted in a special low-speed wind tunnel where a surface was installed to simulate the impact of the ground on the flight.
In September 2023, the leasing company “Aviakapital-Service” of the State Corporation “Rostec” and the airline “Aeroflot” signed financial lease agreements for 18 MC-21-310 aircraft and 34 SJ-100 aircraft.
