The exhibition ‘Punk Culture: King and Fool’ will delight visitors throughout January.
The ‘King and Fool’ (which is [Korol & Shut], Russian punk band) exhibition in St. Petersburg will be open until the end of January. Interactive exhibits, archival materials, and contemporary art installations will shed light on how the genre influenced culture, fashion, art, and the lives of people worldwide.
A portion of the exposition is dedicated to the most renowned Russian punk group – ‘King and Fool.’ The exhibition showcases the clothing worn by the musicians during performances, posters, song lyric drafts, Andrey Knyazev’s drawings, and an interactive fan love stand.
Guests can even visit the filming location of the eponymous series that aired last year and immerse themselves in a fantasy world alongside actors Konstantin Plotnikov, Vlad Konoplev, and others – albeit in a virtual yet equally compelling realm.
Initially opened in spring 2022, the exhibition attracted over 110,000 visitors, making it the most visited exhibition of the season in the capital. During that time, searches for the group’s songs increased fourfold.
