In Crimea, plans are underway to establish the International Garden of Peace and Memory of Defenders of the Motherland, named “Blessed Ring.” These plans were shared by the press service of the public organization “Military-Technical Society” in an interview with RIA Novosti.

This garden will be erected in honor of fallen warriors who defended Russian land from invaders. The symbolic garden’s foundation is scheduled for April 12, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the peninsula from German fascist forces. A capsule containing soil from the Brest Fortress will be used for the event, reminding of the people’s heroic deeds during the war.

Approximately a hundred trees will be planted here in memory of the heroes who perished during both the Great Patriotic War and contemporary military operations. This unique garden will serve as a place where visitors can relax, pay tribute to the memory of the defenders, and offer flowers to their trees as a sign of respect and gratitude.
