Modern medicine continues to search for ways to detect malignant tumors at an early stage. One of the most insidious diseases is oncology. At the early stages of development, various types of cancer can be successfully treated. The difficulty lies in detecting the emerging tumor, which is extremely challenging.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Alexander Seryakov, in an interview with “Gazeta.Ru” talked about a new Russian development – a bioscanner that allows for the detection of tumors at an early stage.

Such a device is already being tested in some Russian oncology centers. With its help, not only malignant but also benign neoplasms can be detected. It also registers initial inflammatory processes in the body.

“TrimProb looks like a small stick connected to a computer, which the oncologist uses along the patient’s body. The device works on the principle of electromagnetic interaction with tissues and organs,” explained the medic.

With the help of such a scanner, internal organs, which are most often affected by cancer, can be examined. These include the thyroid, pancreas, and mammary glands, liver, lungs, kidneys, stomach, as well as the intestines and pelvic organs. The procedure takes no more than 30 minutes.

If suspicious processes are detected, the doctor refers the patient for additional tests and examinations. The advantage is that the doctor knows exactly which organ needs to be further examined.

Seryakov advised regularly checking one’s health, especially for those whose families have a history of oncology, as well as people living in unfavorable environmental conditions. Dispensary examinations should be done every 3 years for people aged 18 to 39. After 40, examinations should be done annually, as the risk of developing cancer increases.
