In June, a number of new laws, orders, and decrees will come into effect in Russia, impacting various categories of citizens and businesses.
- Alpine Hiking Regulations (from June 1):
- Hikers on alpine routes will need to be accompanied by a certified instructor.
- Tobacco Product Packaging:
- Tobacco products will now include barcodes to enhance control and reduce counterfeit products.
- Juice and Nectar Labeling:
- Producers of juices, compotes, and nectars will be required to label their products.
- Far East and Arctic Mortgages for Medics and Educators:
- The previous requirement of a minimum five-year work experience for eligibility will be removed.
- Free Legal Aid Standards (from June 1):
- The Ministry of Justice’s order (No. 157 from 20.05.2024) will establish standards for providing free legal aid.
- Health Certificates for Children Going to Camps:
- Updated health certificates, containing detailed information about past illnesses, will be required for children attending camps.
- Notification of Social and Insurance Pensions (from June 3):
- The Social Fund will update the notification procedures for pension allocations, in accordance with the order (No. 12 from 12.01.2024).
- Support for Folk Art Organizations (from June 10):
- A new law will provide financial and other support to organizations and craftsmen in folk arts.
- Conditional Early Release for Convicted Women (from June 10):
- Women with children under four years old will be eligible for conditional early release.
- Protecting Russian Companies from Western Sanctions (from June 13):
- Companies will be granted the right to classify certain data to protect against sanctions.
- Expansion of Essential Medicines List (from June 18):
- The government’s decree will expand the list of vital medicines.
- Enhanced Migrant Services (from June 23):
- The Moscow Multifunctional Migration Center and the state enterprise “Passport and Visa Service” will have expanded roles in managing migrant services.
These changes reflect efforts to improve regulations, enhance public safety, and provide better support and protections for various segments of the population and industry.
