According to Autonews, referencing data from “Auto.ru Assessment,” the average cost of used cars in the Russian automotive market has been declining for three consecutive months. In April 2024, the average price of pre-owned vehicles fell by 2% compared to the same month last year, amounting to 2,070,000 rubles. Notably, cars like the Range Rover Velar and the third-generation Range Rover experienced the most significant price reductions, decreasing by 4% and 3.5% respectively.

In the budget segment, the most substantial price drops were observed in three car models. The first-generation Skoda Yeti has decreased to 967,000 rubles, the UAZ Patriot to 1,450,000 rubles, and the Lada Largus to 985,000 rubles.

Regarding new cars, their average price in April also declined, dropping by 2.5% to 3,600,000 rubles. The Chery Arrizo 8 led this trend with a 9.1% reduction in price. Other models like the Voyah Free, Hongqi HS5, and Moskvich 3 also saw price decreases of 8.5%, 7%, and 4.4% respectively.

Earlier, it was reported that in the first quarter of 2024, Russian drivers most frequently purchased OSAGO insurance for Lada, Toyota, and Kia brands. Additionally, experts noted that among older vehicles, those manufactured in 2012, 2013, and 2008 were most commonly insured.

This overview highlights the ongoing trend of decreasing prices in both used and new cars on the Russian market, providing a snapshot of current automotive economic dynamics.
