The initial systems are slated for Lada Vesta models.
At the NPP “Itelma” plant in Kostroma, mass production of domestic Electronic Stability Control (ESC) systems for passenger cars has commenced, as announced by the company’s press service.
As per the official statement, ESC systems are set to be installed in domestic automobiles by early 2024. The first units will be supplied for Lada Vesta vehicles. Moreover, negotiations are underway for the supply of ESC units to other domestic car manufacturers.
This launch aligns with Itelma’s development strategy, which, in July, also inaugurated the production of the first Russian Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS). The plan for 2024 encompasses the production of approximately 550,000 units of ABS and ESC systems.
