The Russian anti-UAV system, “Serp,” has successfully undergone testing
The Scientific Research Institute “Vector,” part of the “Roselectronics” holding, has completed testing of the upgraded anti-drone system “Serp-VS5D” at one of Russia’s fuel and energy complex facilities.
The domestic system combines functions for detecting and countering small UAVs. It can identify and neutralize intruders, operating against both singular UAVs and entire swarms of drones.
The equipment continuously scans communication channels and drone control signals, dispatching suppression commands upon detection within the respective frequency ranges. Thanks to the digital signal processing algorithms of the detection system, the presence of drones within the secured zone can be accurately determined, minimizing the chances of omission or false triggers.
The suppression of hostile UAVs is automatically conducted within a range of up to 5 km under direct line of sight conditions. The “Serp” line of anti-drone devices is widely utilized both within Russia and abroad. The specialists at the Scientific Research Institute “Vector” continually upgrade the system, considering user experience and feedback.
