Many Russians try to prolong their youthfulness and turn to cosmetologists for this purpose. However, in not all cases is it necessary to resort to such measures, as there are foods that, when consumed, can improve the quality and texture of facial skin, stated dietitian Olga Redina.

According to her, omega-3 fatty acids have powerful antioxidant properties that have a positive effect on facial skin.

Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids include:

  • Salmon,
  • Avocado,
  • Nuts,
  • Flaxseed oil.

Redina advised Russians to include them in their diet to keep their facial skin always moisturized and radiant.

According to the dietitian, in the fight against free radicals, which damage skin cells and lead to the formation of wrinkles, fruits and vegetables can help, as they contain many antioxidants such as beta-carotene, vitamins E and C.

Fruits and vegetables to include in your diet:

  • Oranges,
  • Red apples,
  • Tomatoes,
  • Spinach,
  • Red bell peppers,
  • Broccoli.

Also, protein-rich foods should be present in the menu, as it is a building material for the body, including the skin. Redina recommended eating more fish, meat, eggs, and legumes.

To keep the skin young and beautiful, it is important not only to eat right but also to drink plenty of water. Internal hydration preserves elasticity and prevents the appearance of wrinkles, concluded the dietitian.
