Rescue Operation Saves Hunting Dog Stranded in Crimea Gorge

The Emergency Situations Ministry of Crimea recently received a distress call about a hunting dog that had fallen into a crevasse at the Kopek-Bash cliffs in the Bakhchisaray district, urgently requiring assistance from rescue teams. The on-duty team from the Bakhchisaray Search and Rescue Department of the State Institution “CRIMEA-SPAS” swiftly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found the dog trapped approximately 5 meters below and promptly initiated its retrieval using specialized mountaineering equipment. The operation concluded successfully as the dog was safely handed over to its owner, unharmed. No injuries were reported during the rescue mission.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasizes the importance of promptly contacting the emergency services by dialing “112” in case of witnessing or being involved in any tragedy, accident, or finding oneself in a challenging situation. This unified emergency hotline serves as the primary contact for all urgent rescue services.
