In April 2024, the average salary offered by employers in Russia rose by approximately 10% compared to the same month last year, reports “Izvestiya” based on data from the service “Avito Work”. Salaries are increasing nationwide, with some regions experiencing faster growth. Stavropol leads with a 19% increase in salary offers from last year, followed by Krasnodar Krai and Barnaul at 17% and 16%, respectively.

Dmitry Puchkov, Managing Director of “Avito Work,” attributes the significant rise in offered salaries in Russian regions to the migration of specialists to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Employers are compelled to compete for qualified professionals by offering higher wages.

The increase in average salary offers is also driven by the development of specific economic sectors and an influx of investments. For instance, the construction sector in Stavropol Krai has seen growth, leading to a 37% increase in salaries offered by construction companies. Additionally, the expansion of health tourism in Stavropol has resulted in a 25% increase in salary offers in this sector.

It was also reported that, ahead of the May holidays, the number of vacancies offering part-time jobs in Russia increased by 42%.

This coverage sheds light on the dynamic changes in the Russian job market, where regions are witnessing varying growth in wage offers due to economic development and the strategic need to retain talent.
