Learn how the residents of pre-revolutionary Petersburg entertained themselves at the end of winter on a free tour.
On February 25, this coming Sunday, a new walk will take place in Petersburg as part of the excursion series launched by GORUS and the “Maria Mikhailova Foundation.”
“At the end of February, we will talk about the winter amusements of pre-revolutionary Petersburg residents, stroll through the places for ice skating and hockey matches, places of lively festivities and Shrovetide celebrations. We will choose a period when winter fades away, and the first signs of spring begin to emerge, albeit subtly. We will talk about old Petersburg at the end of winter and the beginning of a new cycle,” the project’s group announces.
Participation in the tour is free. To sign up, contact the project guide Artemiy Pigarev.
