In the Khabarovsk Krai, environmental lessons for children are gaining popularity as part of the Year of the Family. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the region is conducting an extensive eco-educational activity, including a series of lessons on environmental education.

The program operates in 200 schools in the region. Children are particularly interested in video sketches from the life of wild animals, obtained from camera traps of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Zapovednoe Priamurye,” LLC “Lesookhotnichye Khozyaystvo ‘Durminskoye,'” and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Center ‘Amur Tiger.'”

For older students, more serious lessons are conducted, such as “Waste Processing and Disposal in the Khabarovsk Krai.” During such classes, children receive basic knowledge about waste management, including information about recycling processes, types of products obtained from waste, and sorting rules.

The Minister of Natural Resources of the region, Alexander Leontyev, emphasized that the eco-education program covers all age groups of the population. In addition to environmental lessons, the program includes thematic publications in the media, the creation of a regional journal on environmental education, campaigns, quizzes, and other events.
