The Russian government allocates 20 billion rubles for this purpose.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a directive allocating 20 billion rubles from the federal budget to support the preferential lending program for agricultural producers.
The funds will be used to subsidize preferential loans provided to agro-industrial enterprises for the production and processing of agricultural products. Thanks to this, farmers will be able to obtain credit for seasonal work and implement new investment projects on preferential terms.
Mikhail Mishustin noted that such financing will enable the implementation of large investment projects in the industry and contribute to an increase in the volumes of production and processing of agricultural raw materials in Russia.
It is worth mentioning that the preferential lending program for agricultural producers was launched in 2017. Farmers can avail themselves of two types of loans: short-term (2 years) and investment (up to 15 years).
