On March 27, the “Infintech Corporation” held a conference titled “Unmanned Technologies for Environmental Protection and Ensuring Ecological Safety” as part of the “Big City Ecology” Forum.
During the plenary session, theorists and practitioners in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles discussed a wide range of applications for drone technologies, including in the air, above and below water, as well as for firefighting.
Ramila Agayeva, Chairperson of the State Environmental Supervision Committee of the Leningrad Region, shared the experience of using UAVs in implementing the environmental safety measures of the region. Ilya Popov, Director of the “Validation and Verification of Complex Technical Systems” Laboratory, emphasized the need to pay close attention to personnel and their competencies, as they will be working with drones in the future.
In the second part of the conference, experts discussed successful cases of using drone technologies for environmental protection and ecological safety. Nikita Dontsov, Director of Government Relations at the “Infintech Corporation,” spoke about UAVs for firefighting that are currently under development: “At the moment, there is one company in the world, originating from China, that has learned to produce unmanned aerial vehicles for firefighting. I hope that the second company in the world to produce such products will be the Russian ‘Infintech’.”
At the end of his presentation, Nikita Dontsov announced a major event in May – demonstration exercises at the Sivoritsy aerodrome, where the full functionality of drones capable of firefighting will be demonstrated.
