If you find it hard to resist desserts, recommendations from endocrinologist Dr. Ekaterina Yang might help you overcome your sweet cravings.

According to her, the desire to eat something tasty is not only linked to elevated blood sugar levels and their negative impact on blood vessels but also indicates existing issues such as stress, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, as well as an unbalanced diet.

Dr. Yang believes that incorporating five specific foods into your diet can help maintain balance, promote better sleep, shed extra weight, and control appetite and sweet cravings.

One of these foods is garlic. Rich in sulfates, garlic can normalize glucose levels and also dilate blood vessels, reducing cholesterol levels in the blood.

In a healthy state, blood vessels should be elastic and strong, ensuring smooth blood flow without any delays.

Dr. Yang also recommends consuming mackerel, which contains chromium that helps regulate carbohydrate metabolism and stabilize blood sugar levels.

Berries should also be included in the diet, as they are rich in antioxidants even when stored in the freezer.

Additionally, Dr. Yang highlights cinnamon and almonds. Cinnamon regulates blood sugar and helps curb sweet cravings, while almonds contain magnesium, which helps maintain the necessary glucose levels.
