Tomsk Scientific and Production Center to Leverage Belarus’ Expertise.
A presentation of the Tomsk Scientific and Production Center of the Belarusian State Academy of Sciences (BAS) was held for the Belarusian delegation led by Dmitry Krutoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Russia. This center is being established in the Tomsk Special Economic Zone.
One of the main tasks of the center is to organize flight tests, experimental commercial operation, and serial production of unmanned aviation systems. Additionally, it aims to provide large-scale training for specialists to operate such systems.
The BAS Center in the Tomsk region will set up flight test and scientific-educational complexes, a research laboratory center, and a shared-use center.
Collaboration with Belarus involves establishing a Certification Center in the Tomsk region jointly with the 558th Aviation Repair Plant of the Republic of Belarus, introducing Belarusian unmanned aviation systems to the Russian market, and joint projects in the development and production of hybrid unmanned vehicles. It is planned to allocate 95% of the free areas of the Special Economic Zone for the project.
