According to him, Russians should not neglect physical activity. In old age, sports should bring pleasure. To make physical activity enjoyable, one should engage in activities that they truly enjoy. For example, one can explore Eastern practices or participate in gymnastics or Nordic walking.
Another secret of longevity is intellectual work. In Japan, where many people live to a ripe old age, they actively read and solve crossword puzzles. Such citizens, according to scientists, live 4 years longer.
Loneliness, lack of social contacts and communication, on the contrary, shorten life by 5-6 years, explained Filippov.
