An Eco-Friendly Initiative Takes Root
St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region are once again hosting the “Trees, Sticks, and Chips” ecological drive. The concept is simple: approximately 50 collection hubs will emerge across the city and its surrounds, ready to accept used Christmas trees, firs, and spruces.
Post-festivities, these once-adorned trees will be processed into wood chips. These chips will find new purpose as bedding and sustenance in stables, shelters, and animal nurseries.
Eager to participate or establish your own collection point? Details on how to join this green endeavor can be found at елкипалкищепа.рф/for_orgs/.
Stay tuned! The precise locations of these collection points will be revealed by project coordinators in early January.
