Fifteen Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters have been dispatched to regions with harsh climates.
Under a contract, the company “Helicopters of Russia” has delivered 15 Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to various regions of Russia. A total of 86 helicopters are planned to be supplied to different airlines.
The helicopters delivered under this contract are equipped with additional fuel tanks to increase the range of flights. They also feature 22 seats in the cabin and an external sling with a payload capacity of 300 kg.
These modern helicopters will facilitate passenger and cargo transportation even in the most remote corners of the country, especially in northern regions, where they sometimes serve as the sole means of transporting patients or casualties to medical facilities.
Oleg Yevtushenko, CEO of Rostec, emphasized that most of these helicopters will be used in Siberia, the Far East, and the Extreme North, where challenging climatic conditions exist.
