The II Interregional Forum “Future Medicine, AI Priority” has kicked off in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, bringing together over 200 representatives from the medical and high-tech communities from various regions of Russia. The event is dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine. The main goal of the forum is to exchange experiences in implementing AI systems in healthcare and explore innovative solutions and proposals.

Experts and participants are confident that the discussions will contribute to the development of technical, technological, and managerial solutions that will be mutually beneficial for patients and medical personnel.

As part of the practical use of AI on Sakhalin, medical image analysis is conducted to identify the risks of oncological diseases among local residents. Solutions for voice-based medical documentation filling by physicians and robot-assisted appointment scheduling through the 1-300 service have also been implemented. The governor of the region emphasized the readiness of the region to continue developing these practices and sharing experiences with other entities.

It’s worth noting that the Sakhalin Region was previously recognized as one of the leaders in Russia in the Index of Intellectual Maturity and received the “Leaders of AI” national award.
