This was revealed by a sociological survey conducted by the “Weber” agency

The results of a sociological study by the “Weber” agency, as part of the project of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization (ANO) “Dialogue” and ANO “Dialogue Regions,” showed that 56% of Russians would like to lead a healthier lifestyle. Most of the respondents also claim that they pay attention to their health. However, when they feel unwell, almost two-thirds of Russians prefer self-treatment and consult doctors only in extreme cases.

Nearly half of the respondents (48%) do not undergo medical examinations even once every few years, and only 23% seek medical help at the first signs of illness.

Out of the total number of respondents, 25% rated their health as good, while 22% considered it poor. About a third of Russians (29%) see no need to change their lifestyle as they consider it healthy enough.

The survey revealed that for most Russians, maintaining health is associated with regular walks in the fresh air and physical activity (57%), following an eight-hour sleep regimen (42%), and maintaining a proper diet or following a diet (39%).

Despite this, almost 70% of Russians have never purchased gym memberships, and 15% bought them but do not use them. The primary motivation for 53% of respondents to engage in sports is to maintain physical health.
