Identifying objects by substance composition is also an option
The Rostec Corporation will supply Russian agencies with over 20 vehicle inspection complexes worth 5.5 billion rubles. This technology allows for the detection of prohibited cargo of almost any size by scanning vehicles.
Currently, over 30 such devices of various types are in use at the Russian border and in transportation infrastructure. While the main deliveries are aimed at Russian clients, contracts for supply to other countries have also been concluded.
With the help of domestic inspection and screening complexes, even small hiding places and concealed compartments in cargo weighing tens of tons can be detected. The complex can identify objects by substance composition even through steel up to 40 cm thick. It can accurately indicate whether they are trying to transport narcotics, explosives, ammunition, or other prohibited goods.
One of the advantages of such complexes is the reduction of inspection time to just a few minutes.
