Krasnodar Territory is gearing up for a bustling summer season with 53% of its hotels already booked, revealed Governor Veniamin Kondratyev during a meeting with Anna Popova, head of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, held in Sochi.

Governor Kondratyev estimates that the region will host no fewer than 10 million tourists this summer. He assured that the Kuban resorts are fully prepared, including adherence to epidemiological safety standards.

A key focus has been on ensuring all beaches meet sanitary regulations. Krasnodar’s 565 beaches will only open following positive sanitary inspections from the Russian Federal Service.

Particular attention has also been paid to organizing children’s recreation. This summer, the region plans to operate 1,500 child health facilities and camps.

Local authorities will maintain strict oversight of the sanitary conditions of these establishments and the quality of the food services provided, Governor Kondratyev concluded.
