From May 14th to 19th, 2024, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan will host KazanForum. Its organizing committee has announced that more than 80 countries have already confirmed their participation in this event. Representatives from the UAE, Bahrain, Malaysia, Iran, Turkey, and other countries will attend the forum.
According to the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, not only guests from various countries but also representatives from Russian regions will attend the international economic forum.
The KazanForum program includes the work of intergovernmental commissions between the Russian Federation and several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Kuwait.
The “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” is not a new event. It has been held in Kazan for 15 years. However, in 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree granting federal status to the forum. In 2024, the organizing committee of KazanForum is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin.
In 2023, 85 countries and 84 Russian regions participated in the forum’s work, and 6 bilateral conferences were held. This became a record for the event. Participants of the forum signed more than 130 agreements.
