The proportion of Russians who believe in the interplanetary future of humanity has grown from 51% to 66% over the past 15 years. At the same time, the percentage of those who do not consider the possibility of human life on other planets has decreased from 35% to 28%.
These findings are based on data from a survey conducted by VCIOM. Additionally, it was found that only 35% of respondents agree that various space events influence their lives. However, nearly 70% of them note the impact of space events on their health.
More than 75% of survey participants stated that they believe in the existence of life on other planets. Every fifth respondent categorically denies this. The telephone survey involved 1,600 adult citizens of Russia.
Another survey conducted by VCIOM in March 2024 showed that 24% of Russians believe in supernatural forces. Over 58% of respondents stated that they believe in God, while another 16% believe in fate. At the same time, 24% of survey participants do not believe in any of the mentioned beliefs.
Approximately 97% of respondents know their zodiac sign. Forty-two percent of Russians who participated in the survey are interested in horoscopes and astrological forecasts.
