The Chinese company Great Wall Motor has inaugurated a factory in the Tula region for the production of turbocharged engines with a capacity of 1.5 and 2 liters for Haval automobiles. The facility aims to manufacture over 100,000 engines annually, and its production line spans an entire workshop equivalent to 1.5 football fields.
According to “AvtoStat,” in February, the Chinese crossover Haval Jolion maintained its leadership among popular foreign cars in Russia. The brand sold 112,000 units, marking a 2.3-fold increase compared to 2022.
The new plant covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters and employs 300 people. It’s worth noting that the Haval plant in the Tula region commenced operations in June 2019, becoming the first foreign full-cycle production facility for the Chinese brand.
