The press service of the Moscow automotive plant has confirmed online reports about the start of sales for the new “Moskvich 8” crossover in October 2024.

The seven-seater vehicle is the largest model of this brand. It measures 4,824 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,830 mm. The “Moskvich 8” will be available exclusively with a gasoline engine. The automaker noted that the new crossover is suitable for both city driving and long family trips, featuring a spacious interior with comfortable seats.

The Moskvich plant previously reported its performance results for the first half of 2024. During this period, over 10,000 vehicles were sold, including nearly 900 “Moskvich 6” cars and 700 “Moskvich 3e” electric vehicles. In June alone, more than 1,300 “Moskvich” cars were sold, among them 200 liftbacks and over 100 electric vehicles. Factory representatives highlighted that the increase in demand for their cars became possible after a price reduction in March.

Maxim Sokolov, head of AvtoVAZ, mentioned a new car model, the LADA Iskra, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This model will be aimed at young people. According to Sokolov, the LADA Iskra will feature numerous multimedia functions, making it an excellent choice for young people purchasing their first car.
