A military satellite has been successfully placed into the designated orbit using the “Soyuz-2.1v” rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The launch was carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces. The satellite, intended for the Russian Ministry of Defense, was placed into orbit and taken under control.
Telemetric communication has been established, and all satellite systems are operating normally. All data about the satellite has been entered into the catalog of space objects of Russia.
Military satellite launches occur systematically—two Soyuz launches took place in December, and one each in November and October of 2023. Additionally, “Roscosmos” announced the launch of three experimental reconnaissance satellites at the end of 2023, scheduled for 2025-2026.
Earlier, the “Energia” corporation, part of “Roscosmos,” reported that the capabilities of the enterprises would allow launching over 2,000 new satellites into orbit by 2036.
