A survey conducted by DDX Fitness revealed that 40% of Russians take 10,000 steps daily. Less than 1% take twice as many steps, while 7.5% experience chronic sleep deprivation.

21% of compatriots own pedometers (either in smartwatches or on smartphones) but do not use them. However, over 25% regularly monitor the number of steps taken. Approximately 27.5% sometimes check their pedometer readings, while 25.5% stated that they do not pay attention to their physical activity.

Every day, at least 10,000 steps are taken by 40% of respondents, 12.7% walk 15,000 steps, 5% walk 20,000 steps, 0.8% walk 25,000 steps, and 0.7% walk more than 25,000 steps, reports “Gazeta.Ru”.

Many Russians visit fitness clubs to maintain the necessary level of physical activity. However, sometimes, after purchasing a subscription, citizens skip workouts due to illness, travel, or laziness. This was done by 23% of those surveyed. Another 8.5% consistently skip workouts due to busyness, while 6% freeze their subscription to avoid losing money. The majority (62%) still attend workouts if they have paid for a subscription.

The majority (40.3%) of respondents sleep 6-7 hours a day. Approximately 34.5% sleep around 7-8 hours. Only 11.1% rest for 4-6 hours at night. About 7.5% spend 8-10 hours in bed, otherwise they cannot wake up in the morning. On weekdays, 6.7% of respondents sleep as they can, while on weekends they allow themselves to rest until noon.
