Starting from June 1, the summer health campaign kicks off in Kuban. According to the head of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, approximately 1,500 day camps and over 90 residential camps will be open for children from various regions of Russia.

Kondratyev stated that more than 370,000 children will rest in Kuban this summer, including 125,000 from other Russian regions. Priority will be given to organizing vacations for children from low-income families, large families, and families of participants in the special military operation in Ukraine.

The authorities will pay special attention to counterterrorism, fire safety, and sanitary standards in children’s camps this summer, emphasized Kondratyev.

No camp will be opened if violations are found. The main goal is to do everything possible to ensure that children “recover and have bright emotions” during their holidays, explained Kondratyev.

He also mentioned that local authorities will allocate over 3 billion rubles for organizing children’s holidays this summer.
