The members of the rock band “Picnic” expressed their condolences to the families whose loved ones died in yesterday’s terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall. The band was scheduled to perform a concert there. However, armed individuals stormed into the hall just 5 minutes before the start of the event and opened fire on the attendees.
“We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. We are deeply shaken by this terrible tragedy and mourn with you,” the artists wrote in their official community on VKontakte.
It is known that the musicians and their team managed to evacuate during the attack. The band’s keyboardist, Stanislav Shklyarsky, called the incident a “terrible tragedy” that “defies belief” in his Telegram channel.
At the moment, the number of victims of the terrorist attack is 115 people. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. In addition to the shooting, the terrorists set fire to the building, which covered an area of 14 thousand square meters. The clearance of the collapsed roof of the building is ongoing.
