The head of the state, Vladimir Putin, spoke at the Victory Parade held in Moscow, delivering three important messages to Russia and the world.
According to our leader, the truth about the Second World War is being distorted. It interferes with those who are accustomed to building their policies on hypocrisy and lies. Memorials to the true fighters against Nazism are being destroyed around the world, while traitors and collaborators of the Hitlerites are being honored, forgetting about the great sacrifice made in the name of victory over fascist Germany.
“Revanchism, mocking history — this is part of the common policy of Western elites,” noted the president.
He also warned NATO and all enemies of Russia that our people reject any country’s or alliance’s claims to exceptionalism. We will not allow a global confrontation, but we will also not allow threats against us.
The third message concerned the special military operation in Ukraine and its participants.
According to the head of state, Russia is currently going through a challenging period, and the fate of the Motherland depends on each of us. Everyone in the area of the military special operation is “our heroes.”
Putin concluded his speech at the Victory Parade with the words:
“For Russia! For Victory! Hooray!”
This year, 9,000 servicemen participated in the Victory Parade. Also, a column of military equipment — over 70 units — marched along Red Square. The parade concluded with performances by aviation groups that painted the sky in the colors of the Russian tricolor.
