In a historic milestone, RC Group, a multi-product IT company, has been granted a lifetime fatwa (Islamic legal pronouncement) by the highest Mufti authority.

Several years ago, RC Group became the first IT company to obtain a Halal certificate, or IIDC (Islamic Information Documentation Certification). Now, the company makes a new historic contribution to the global digital product industry by receiving the first-ever lifetime Halal certification from Al-Azhar University, the highest Muslim spiritual university globally. This decision opens new perspectives for the Muslim community in using the company’s products.

All IT industry products aiming for the “Halal” category must adhere to traditions established in the Muslim community, Islamic culture, and teachings. The transformation of Islam is a natural process in the development of religion in the modern era, and there are companies keeping pace with the times.

“At the time when we obtained our first IIDC certificate, we made a revolution because no one had previously issued Halal certificates for digital products due to their complexity. — says RC Group CEO and co-founder Maria Mikhailova. — Now we have made a ‘revolution squared’! Firstly, Al-Azhar University is the highest Muslim authority. Secondly, the decision in our favor is granted for a lifetime, and there are no similar fatwas in practice anymore. It is available on Al-Azhar University’s website, so, answering skeptics’ questions in advance — its authenticity is beyond doubt.”

Founded by the Fatimids in 970 AD and officially established in 988 AD, Al-Azhar University is a leading center for Islamic and Arabic education. The decision to issue a Halal certificate is made by the university’s scholars and officially recorded on the website for maximum transparency. Al-Azhar, carefully preserving traditional values and fundamental theological knowledge, serves as a guide and benchmark for the entire Muslim world.

For Muslim consumers, RC Group’s new status signifies that its products fully comply with religious norms.
