The Russian Union of Tourism Industry (RUTI) proposes the implementation of national tourist routes across Russia for foreign tourists, aiming to increase the overall tourist flow. Alexey Vengin, the head of the RUTI committee on inbound tourism, expressed this idea at a press conference with TASS.
He emphasized the need to create new national routes and noted that it is essential to offer foreign tourists not only well-known regions but also entire authentic routes that correspond to the diverse interests of our country’s guests. Vengin gave an example of creating a tour route for Asian tourists, including visits to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Chita, Yakutia, and departure from Buryatia. According to him, such a solution will increase the number of trips and demonstrate the diversity of the Russian territory.
The committee head also pointed out that the tourism business has already noticed interest from foreign tourists in non-standard routes across Russia. He suggested leveraging this interest to create niche products, such as tours for snowmobiling enthusiasts, fishing lovers, or automotive tourism.
