The Russian government has approved uniform standards for the appointment and provision of social support at all levels of authority: federal, regional, and municipal. This was reported on the government’s website.
The resolution establishes a unified process of interaction between government bodies and citizens, regardless of their place of residence or the level of support they are entitled to. All forms of assistance will be provided electronically in the shortest possible time and with minimal use of paper documentation. Russians will be able to submit applications through government online services or multifunctional centers.
All necessary documents for the consideration of applications will be transmitted between authorities through information exchange. Requests for additional references will only be required in case of absence of important information in state information systems.
In addition, the resolution sets the maximum time frame for consideration of documents for the appointment of social support measures:
- registration of applications will now be carried out within one working day,
- receipt of necessary documents from other authorities – within two working days,
- notification of appointment or refusal – within one working day.
Responsible authorities will inform Russians about the progress of consideration of their applications.
These changes will come into force on January 1, 2025.
