Russia and Belarus are set to collaboratively manufacture twin-engine 19-seater aircraft, as announced by Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Parkhomchik on the TV channel “Belarus 1”. The production of these aircraft will be located in Belarus, with Russia providing financing for research and design work. The plan is to produce the first two aircraft by 2026, with the production scale expected to reach 85 to 100 units by 2030, or even more if the project proves successful.
The Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that a business plan for the development of the aviation plant in Baranovichi has been approved. This plan includes the construction of additional production facilities and the acquisition of high-tech equipment.
