The collaboration between Russia and Iran is set to continue in 2024, with plans to establish joint investment committees between the National Wealth Funds of the two countries. These committees will focus on implementing various projects in sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and more. The information was confirmed by Hosein Aivazloo, a member of the executive council of Iran’s National Development Fund.

Aivazloo stated that it was decided for Iran to contribute 50% of the investments, with the remaining 50% coming from Russia. He emphasized that collaboration in this sphere between Tehran and Moscow has a longstanding history, with existing signed agreements. Furthermore, models of cooperation and mechanisms for interaction have been approved, awaiting confirmation from the supervisory council of Russia’s National Wealth Fund.
