A new artificial intelligence tool has been developed in Russia to verify the authenticity of documents. This innovative solution was created by the companies Smart Engines, Intech Group, and Triasoft.
This neural network aims to protect Russian citizens and businesses from fraudsters who use counterfeit documents in notarial transactions, according to the press service of Smart Engines, a leading domestic developer of recognition systems.
Thousands of Russian notaries will now be able to identify fake passports and documents of transaction participants. The AI analyzes approximately 60 parameters. It recognizes the document and the data contained within, checks the form for authenticity and security features, and detects any possible photo alterations. The scanning process takes less than a second.
The tool also verifies the authenticity of passports from any country and checks the national identification documents of several states.
Vladimir Arlazarov, CEO of Smart Engines, stated that the companies plan to expand the capabilities of the neural network in the future. It will be used to verify the authenticity of documents in banks, enhancing the security of Russian citizens’ funds.
