The Russian company “Metallist,” part of the state corporation “Rostec,” has unveiled a new development – the bionic knee module “Cometa” with microprocessor control. The prosthesis can operate for up to 10 days without recharging – a record-setting feature for such devices.

Patients with moderate to high levels of motor activity can use the prosthesis, enabling both casual walking and light jogging. The prosthesis casing is manufactured using additive printing methods. It is made from a unique domestic alloy, RS-553, which protects electronic components from deformations and mechanical failures.

Metallist’s development is optimal in terms of the price-to-quality ratio and is comparable to foreign analogs.
