In various regions across Russia, an increasing number of educational centers called “Tochka Rosta” (Growth Point) are being established. These centers aim to provide students with a comprehensive education that includes not only core subjects but also additional programs focusing on natural sciences and technology. This initiative is part of the national “Education” project, which seeks to ensure high-quality education for residents of both metropolitan and smaller cities and towns.

Key Developments:

  • Tver: Center of Education No. 56 opened, accommodating 1,000 students. This school is equipped with the latest technology and offers programs that introduce students to various professions. According to director Irina Popova, the school features a media center where students can publish their own school newspaper.
  • Bezhitsk, Tver Region: Students from School No. 6 toured a coffee roasting plant and participated in a coffee packaging workshop.
  • Orenburg: Students at the new-format School No. 63 engage in culinary arts, fabric processing, carpentry, and locksmithing, and use modern computers. The school also boasts basketball and football fields, a running track, and extended day group recreational areas.

Nationwide Implementation

Plans are underway to create such schools in 12 regions across Russia. These institutions aim to become leading platforms for child development. Construction has already begun on five flagship schools in the following regions:

  • Nizhny Novgorod Oblast
  • Belgorod Oblast
  • Ryazan Oblast
  • Pskov Oblast
  • Novgorod Oblast

Each of these schools will accommodate 800 students and include campuses where students can live during the school year.

Examples of Regional Involvement:

  • Tver Region: Enterprises like the coffee roasting plant in Bezhitsk are actively participating in the educational process by providing practical experiences for students.
  • Orenburg: Schools offer hands-on learning in various trades and modern technological fields.

Objective

The initiative aims to provide high-quality education and career guidance, ensuring that students across Russia have access to modern educational facilities and opportunities to explore different professions. This approach not only enriches the learning experience but also prepares students for future careers in various industries.
