In 7 years, Russia has increased beef exports by 16 times.

After analyzing the market at the international exhibition forum “Russia,” Rosselkhozbank reported that Russia has significantly increased beef exports – almost 16 times since 2014. Statistics for 7 years demonstrate a decrease in imports, stable production, high self-sufficiency, and a sharp increase in exports to a record 41,000 tons in 2023. Analysts predict that in 2024, the trends of the domestic market will persist, and exports will increase by another 11%, reaching approximately 45,000 tons. Meanwhile, China will remain the main foreign buyer, currently accounting for more than half of the shipments.

Analysts also highlight successful projects in the meat production sector, such as the launch of production in the Zarechnoye Agrocomplex and the largest plant of the Miratorg Agro-Industrial Holding, capable of replacing up to 7% of imports.
