In Russia, a design has been created that allows for the generation of electricity from wastewater. The development of this model was carried out at the South Ural State University (SUSU), located in Chelyabinsk.

Egor Kozhevnikov is the author of this development. The constructed design consists of a rotating pipe around its axis. Additionally, two more pipes are placed on both sides of it, remaining stationary. Inside the rotating pipe is a wheel with blades designed to prevent the entry of solid particles and the adherence of any fibers to the construction elements. As a result, all impurities are kept at the center of the flow and do not cause damage to the system.

Egor Kozhevnikov explained that this model can be applied to pipes positioned horizontally. The construction should be installed at the connection point to the sewage system.
