The Russian government has approved a 4.4 billion ruble allocation for developing tourism clusters across seven regions in 2024. This decision was announced on the official social media channels of the Russian Cabinet.
Beneficiary Regions and Projects:
- Republic of Adygea
- Karachay-Cherkess Republic
- Chechnya
- Khabarovsk Krai
- Kaliningrad Oblast
- Orenburg Oblast
- Tver Oblast
Specific Initiatives:
- Tver Oblast: Funds will be used to complete the infrastructure for servicing tourist vessels at the mouth of the Shosha River.
- Kaliningrad Oblast: Construction of a cycling path along the Baltic coast, stretching from the Curonian Spit to the Baltic Spit.
- Republic of Adygea: Completion of the Guzeripl-Plateau Lago-Naki road.
National Tourism Projects
President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to approve the federal project “Five Seas and Lake Baikal” as part of the national “Tourism and Hospitality” initiative. This project aims to establish year-round resorts on the coasts of Russia’s seas.
Planned Resorts:
- Azov Sea (Zaporizhzhia Oblast): “Primorsk” resort.
- Baltic Sea:
- “White Valley” near Kaliningrad.
- “Saint Petersburg Marina” in the Northern capital.
- Caspian Sea (Dagestan): “Caspian Coastal Cluster.”
- Black Sea:
- “Golden Sands” in Crimea.
- “New Anapa” in Kuban.
- Sea of Japan (Primorsky Krai): “Primorye” resort.
- Lake Baikal (Buryatia and Irkutsk Oblast): “Magic Baikal.”
These projects aim to enhance the infrastructure and appeal of these regions, boosting tourism and economic growth.
