A team of scientists from Volgograd State Medical University (VolgGMU) under the Ministry of Health of Russia has created an innovative gel that aids in the regeneration of bone tissue, according to the ministry’s press service.

The Ministry of Health reported that the gel fully restores bone structure, even in cases of severe shrapnel and gunshot injuries. It contains a complex nutrient mixture enhanced with regenerative activators.

Dmitry Kompantsev, Head of the Department of Drug Technology at the Pyatigorsk branch of VolgGMU, emphasized that the gel activates the body’s internal restoration mechanism. Currently, there are no analogues to this drug.

The gel, designed for filling bone defects, is user-friendly for surgeons. It ensures deep penetration into hidden cavities and a tight contact with damaged tissues. It can be used in surgeries involving the jaw and facial bones, as well as in dentistry and surgery to repair bone and cartilage tissue defects.
