Turkey remains one of the most popular vacation destinations for Russians, despite payment issues. Many Russians plan to spend their summer holidays at Turkish resorts.

The flow of tourists from Russia to Turkey could increase by more than 30%, according to Vladimir Rubtsov, CEO of tour operator Fun&Sun, in an interview with RIA Novosti. One of the main reasons for the growing interest in Turkey is the reduction in accommodation prices at Turkish hotels. In 2023, prices were raised, which led to a decrease in tourist flow. The Turkish tourism market participants have taken the right steps by lowering hotel accommodation costs, Rubtsov noted. If this trend continues, Turkey may become the leading foreign destination for Russian tourists, he added.

Previously, it was reported that Russia is experiencing a surge in so-called “dental tourism.” This trend is driven by the sharp increase in dental service prices in Moscow. Residents of the capital are traveling to other regions of Russia to address their dental issues. Currently, filling a tooth in Moscow costs between 2,000 and 10,000 rubles, while the same service in the regions costs between 1,500 and 7,000 rubles. Getting a crown installed in other cities can save 5,000 to 10,000 rubles compared to the prices in the capital.
