The calculations took into account salaries in the regions according to Rosstat data and the average cost of a two-room apartment in the economy and comfort classes.

It turns out that residents of the Samara region can save up for their own housing the fastest – it will take them just over 4 years. Analysts noted the smallest gap between the average salary and the cost of a “two-room” apartment in the mass segment. The price for such apartments in the region was around 6 million rubles.

It will take residents of the Krasnodar Krai the longest to save up for their own housing – about 7 years. Experts believe that this gap is due to the resort status of the region. Apartments on the coast are more expensive than in the city of Krasnodar itself, according to analysts.

Moscow residents will need about 5 years to buy their own apartment. The average price tag for a two-room apartment in the capital is 15.6 million rubles. However, the average salary level there is higher.

Residents of St. Petersburg need to save money for more than 6 years to buy a “two-room” apartment for 13.6 million rubles.
